Do you like maps? Do you like talking about maps? Do you like seeing old maps while talking about them?
If so we have an event for you.....
The famous Schein & Schein Map Antique Map store in North Beach (https://www.scheinandschein.com/) is hosting an event for PiA alums in the Bay Area on Thursday November 1st at 6.30-7.30pm to showcase their collection of Asian maps and explain some of the stories, history, and intrigue behind the places we know and love.
Come by, bring your friends/colleagues, bring your children. Event is open to all. After the talk we will head to a nearby pub for a drink / bite to eat.

Where: Schein&Schein Map store, 1435 Grant Ave. San Francisco, CA 94133 The location is about a 22 minute walk from Embarcadero BART station.
What: Short 45 minute talk and map showcase with Q&A with the owners
Who: Invite to the entire PiA community i.e. friends of PiA, children of PiA (crying babies is totally ok), colleagues of PiA. The space is relatively small but we will cram in.
Why: Because maps are cool, especially Asian maps
