DESCRIPTION: Join us for a picnic among Cherry Blossoms (hopefully, weather permitting) and tour of &quot;Art Across Cultures&quot; at&nbsp;the newly renovated Freer | Sackler Museum!

Tour: Art Across Cultures. The creation of art is a universal human endeavor, but what connects artwork across cultures and what sets them apart? Investigate artworks from across Asia, exploring commonalities and differences in cultures, aesthetics, and ideas.&nbsp;Discover outstanding works of art from throughout Asia in an hour-long, docent-led tour through the Freer and Sackler. Explore art from varied time periods, countries, and cultures.

Pre-Tour Picnic.&nbsp;Bring your own picnic. (The&nbsp;Freer│Sackler does not offer eating facilities.)&nbsp;

Time and Meeting Location:

1:00PM&nbsp;- 2:00PM: Bring-your-own picnic, weather-permitting. Meet at the&nbsp;benches and tables&nbsp;area adjacent to the Haupt Gardens&nbsp;(http://www.gardens.si.edu/our-gardens/haupt-garden.html)&nbsp;and&nbsp;Freer Museum.

2:15PM&nbsp;- 3:15PM: Docent-led, private group tour. Meet on the Mall side of the Freer Gallery (Jefferson Drive) at the Visitor Information Desk a few minutes before our&nbsp;scheduled tour time (2:15PM).

Transportation:


	Metro:&nbsp;Closest metro stop is the Smithsonian Station - National Mall (orange, silver, and blue lines).
	Parking: Metered parking along Independence Avenue.

RSVP: To ensure we stay within the allowed number of participants (museum allows 60 people), please&nbsp;let us know if you are coming and how many guests you&#39;ll be bringing.&nbsp;
